Requirements
Must:
We require you to have clear communication skills and systematic reasoning abilities. You should possess deep experience with Q/KDB+ in a similar environment, and familiarity with the TorQ framework for KDB+ is advantageous. A solid understanding of the Fixed Income (FI) business or quantitative finance is essential, along with knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems. Additionally, you should be knowledgeable about software delivery processes and methodologies, as well as testing strategies, with experience in qspec and qunit frameworks being useful. Experience with Altair Panopticon is a distinct advantage. You must either hold active SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will need you to liaise with traders to understand their requirements and draw parallels with solutions in other product lines within Algo Flow trading. You will help monitor the deployment of new and modified trading algorithms to ensure compliance with the firm's obligations and adherence to the release process. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and delivering application changes to meet the needs of the FI Algo trading desks, which involves API and schema design and significant work on real-time KDB+ processes. You will also design dashboards in Altair Panopticon to monitor trading algorithms and perform ad-hoc statistical analysis of algorithm performance, behavior, market data, and client behavior. Furthermore, you will oversee KDB maintenance and evolution, develop compliance monitoring tools, provide technical assistance and 3rd line support to internal production support teams, and participate in software releases, which may be performed out of hours and on weekends.
