Requirements
Must:
- I need candidates with in-depth knowledge of the Oracle APEX web-based application development toolset and its use in designing and developing web applications.
- Demonstrable competence in developing complex server-side PL/SQL code for data input validation and data import/export is essential.
- Candidates must possess JavaScript knowledge and experience.
- A disciplined and methodical approach to configuration control is required.
- I expect candidates to collaborate closely with Business Analysts (BAs), Project Managers (PMs), Database Administrators (DBAs), and Infrastructure resources to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- A working experience of Agile Development, Azure DevOps, and Scrum is necessary.
- Security Clearance: You must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
Responsibilities
- You will lead requirement analysis and the production and review of technical design solutions for large and complex programs, supporting the UK submarine fleet.
- I want you to take charge of efficient software development, utilizing good design principles by considering code reuse, efficiencies, and innovative implementation methodologies.
- It is your responsibility to apply your technical experience and knowledge in evaluating solutions while maintaining technical awareness at a level where alternatives can be advised, analyzed, and modeled.
- You will attend workshops, reviews, and stand-ups to discuss the development project, demonstrate progress to date, and communicate with project stakeholders.
- It is also important for you to share your knowledge with team members within the company.
Description
You will join our Digital Solutions Team as a software developer, playing an active role in the through-life engineering support to the UK naval fleet. Your contributions will ensure that submarines and submariners go to sea safely. The position is hybrid, requiring two days per week on-site in Bristol, and is expected to last for six months. The daily rate is between £525 to £570, umbrella.
