Requirements
Must:
- Customer-facing skills with the ability to establish trusted relationships and successful partnerships
- Experience in communicating and influencing across all levels
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to plan and execute assurance activities on time, budget, and quality
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet agreed delivery targets
- Ability to identify and assess security risks and evaluate mitigations
- Understanding of contractual obligations and their flow down to third parties
- Experience in writing assurance artefacts, reports, and other documents to a high standard supported by reliable evidence
- Proven track record in security and information risk management
- Knowledge and experience with ISO27001, NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), and related standards
- Security clearance to BPSS level as a minimum
- Experience in information assurance roles on large-scale contracts, ideally for Central Government departments or agencies
- Proven experience in writing assurance artefacts, including RMADS and SyOPs
- Experience administering security processes
- Experience conducting assurance activities and writing reports and recommendations
- Experience working with ISO27001 controls and audit
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the ESN Security Management Plan, ISMS, and security processes
- Identify security threats to the ESN and ensure the adequacy of processes and controls to mitigate them
- Work with other security professionals and teams to meet ESN security objectives
- Engage with customer security teams to provide assurance that security requirements are met
- Identify and understand all elements of contractual security obligations for the ESN Contract
- Deliver and verify implementation of end-to-end security services as defined within the ESN contracts
- Deliver and implement ISO27001 compliant security strategies, policies, procedures, and threat responses
- Manage operational risks related to people, information, assets, revenues, and reputation
- Ensure compliance with relevant security requirements and monitor third-party supplier compliance
- Manage security awareness within the ESN Programme
Description
We are a key player in the Emergency Services Network (ESN), committed to connecting our customers for good and ensuring the security of critical communications. Our Cyber Security Governance & Assurance Specialist role is essential in building and maintaining effective security controls against cyber and physical threats. This position is based in London with on-site requirements every two weeks or as necessary. Join us for a 6-month engagement where you will be part of a dedicated team contributing to the overall cyber security risk management program, ensuring that technology systems and data associated with the ESN are well protected.
