Requirements
Must:
- You must possess active SC clearance and ideally active DV clearance.
- Sole UK nationality is required for this role.
- You should have experience as a Tier 2 SOC analyst.
- A solid understanding of data networks is essential.
- Familiarity and experience with SIEM tool sets and security management tools are necessary.
- Desirable security qualifications include CompTIA S+/N+/CySA+, AWS, MS, SANS, CISSP, etc.
- Experience working with the UK MOD would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- I will conduct reactive monitoring of MOD networks to deliver a layered, agile cyber defense capability across all security domains.
- I will manage and triage alerts, conduct impact assessments, and develop mitigating strategies to be communicated up the chain of command.
- I will work on improving and complying with existing cyber security policies, procedures, and orders, reviewing and amending them when necessary.
- I will maintain and share knowledge of current cyber issues, vulnerabilities, and exploits through research, technical reports, and briefs.
Description
This role is located in Corsham, Wiltshire, with a work schedule of 60% onsite and 40% remote for a duration of 3 months, with a rate of £550 per day. I am embedded with an existing Customer SOC, where we provide cyber expertise and corporate experience, assisting the customer in regular SOC activities while proposing new processes and bringing 'best practice' to the workplace. To be successfully appointed to this role, a series of pre-employment checks are required, including identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history for the last 3 continuous years, and an unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).
