Must:
- I must either hold or be eligible for SC clearance.

- I have a strong understanding of SMTP protocols, email routing, and mail security.
- I am proficient in Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- I have experience with TLS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and SASL protocols.
- I can integrate Postfix into enterprise systems (VCF, HPE, SIEM, LDAP/AD).
- I demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- I have scripting experience for automation and monitoring (Bash, Python).
- I possess excellent technical documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- I will design and deploy an on-premises SMTP relay infrastructure using Postfix.
- I will interpret and implement Low-Level Design documentation.
- I will ensure secure mail routing and compliance with enterprise security standards.
- I will integrate Postfix with core enterprise solutions such as VCF, HPE, SIEM, and LDAP/AD.
- I will troubleshoot mail delivery and server performance issues.
- I will automate and monitor processes using scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- I will produce comprehensive technical documentation.
Description
I am seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Postfix SMTP Relay Engineer to design, document, build, and deploy an on-premises email relay infrastructure using Postfix. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in SMTP protocols, mail routing, and secure mail server configuration, as well as experience working with Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation. I will be responsible for implementing a robust, secure, and scalable Postfix-based relay solution that integrates seamlessly with enterprise systems. The position is located in Birmingham with a hybrid working model and is expected to last until February 27, 2026. The rate offered is £550.00 inside IR35, via an umbrella company.
