Requirements
Must:
- Strong technical expertise in SAP ABAP Objects (Reports, Dialog Transactions, Enhancements, Business Add-ins).
- Strong knowledge of Smart Forms and Adobe Interactive Forms.
- Rich functional knowledge of the SAP PM Module, with the ability to provide best-in-class technical solutions across various SAP modules (FICO, SD, MM, PP, PS, QM, and WM).
- Proven experience as a technically sophisticated SAP Specialist and ABAP Developer, delivering technical design and development for SAP implementation projects.
- Effective leadership skills, with experience in leading teams during project phases, training and guiding team members, and enabling knowledge sharing.
- Experience in gathering requirements through client interaction to provide optimal solutions.
- Proficiency in analyzing the impact of changes on existing structures and implementing those changes in collaboration with business teams.
- Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and effective communication between clients and offshore teams.
- Ability to provide solutions for business requirements and apply performance optimization techniques.
- Experience in performing code reviews for custom-developed programs and completing end-to-end testing.
- Strong project management skills and experience in leading ABAP teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop incoming and outgoing interface FICO programs for third-party systems as required by the business.
- Gather and analyze client requirements to deliver the best possible solutions.
- Conduct impact analysis on existing structures and implement changes effectively.
- Lead the ABAP team through project phases, ensuring that team members are trained and empowered to share knowledge.
- Facilitate communication between the client and offshore teams to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals.
- Develop and optimize SAP solutions in line with business requirements.
- Perform comprehensive code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to established standards.
- Oversee full lifecycle testing of developed solutions.
Description
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with a minimum A6 grade to join our team on a contract basis, running until October 31, 2026. This role is based in Cardiff with a hybrid working model, requiring three days per week onsite initially, with remote work considerations afterward. The rate for this position is up to £515.20 per day (Umbrella, inside IR35). Eligibility for SC clearance and UK Citizenship is required.
