Requirements
Must:
- Active SC clearance or eligibility for SC clearance
- Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) for job orchestration
- Knowledge of SAS Data Integration (DI) for packaging and deployment
- Familiarity with SAS Management Console for code promotion
- Proficiency in SAS Studio for job development
- Hands-on experience with SAS Viya 3.5 / Viya 4
- Understanding of SAS Visual Analytics (VA) and SAS Visual Investigator (VI)
- Working knowledge of Oracle databases
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Detail-oriented and methodical approach to planning
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Experience in client or public sector environments (desirable)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud-hosted platforms (AWS, Azure, SAS PaaS) (desirable)
- Knowledge of scheduling tools like Airflow (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end release process across development, test, and production environments.
- Coordinate with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure timely and quality releases.
- Maintain and enforce configuration management standards using manifest files and structured release artefacts.
- Oversee packaging and deployment of SAS DI code (SPKs) and Oracle artefacts.
- Support migration activities from SAS 9.4 to SAS Viya 4 using CI/CD practices.
- Facilitate release readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, and post-release retrospectives.
- Ensure traceability and auditability of all release components and decisions.
Description
We are a project team dedicated to unifying RSDD APIs into a single service that enhances our data processing capabilities. Our goal is to reduce complexity while ensuring reliability across all platforms. This contract position is based in Telford with a hybrid work model, allowing for two days onsite each week. We are looking for a skilled Release Manager to join our release management team, helping to support our expanding project workload and drive efficiencies through streamlined processes.
