Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience as Database Administrator, specifically with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
- Experience managing an Oracle team
- Proficient in database software for data storage, organization, and management
- Expert knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL data stores, including JSON and XML structures
- Experience with distributed data processing technologies such as Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
- Ability to maintain databases, troubleshoot issues, and assist in database design and development
- Experienced in managing database access and security/integrity, and implementing backup procedures
- Strong documentation skills, including writing reports and operating manuals
- Familiarity with testing and modifying databases for reliable operation
- Knowledge of disaster recovery plans and data archiving/housekeeping
- Understanding of Cloud platforms and serverless architecture preferred
- Good understanding of software patterns and their application
- Knowledge of Kafka is advantageous
- Experience in Agile/DevOps software development environments
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Experience with support activities
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of our PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases
- Collaborate with program managers, IT project managers, and other technical teams
- Design and implement maintenance procedures for database management
- Ensure data security and integrity while managing backup procedures
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans
- Write and review technical documentation, including reports and manuals
- Conduct testing and modifications on databases to enhance reliability
- Mentor junior team members in database management practices
- Stay updated with new database technologies and practices
- Oversee support activities related to database performance and access issues
