We are looking for a Lead Security Solution Architect with significant experience and proven technical depth in cybersecurity domains, including security operations & incident response, threat & vulnerability management, identity & access management, cryptography, infrastructure, network, application, data, and cloud. You should have broad experience in information technology, enabling you to communicate effectively with non-security technical SMEs.
Ideal candidates will have a background in both operational and transformational cybersecurity roles, as well as experience in large-scale IT transformation programs. Familiarity with PAM solutions such as CyberArk, Centrify, Delinea, and OneIdentity is essential. You should be capable of preparing end-to-end configuration for strategic PAM capabilities, including on-prem deployments and cloud-native tooling. Additionally, experience in preparing demonstrable journeys on configured PAM tooling is required.
Educational qualifications include a master’s or doctorate degree in cybersecurity, computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Certification such as CISSP/CISM or other industry-recognized cybersecurity certificates is preferred, along with SABSA or TOGAF certification. Proficiency in BizzDesign, Archi, or UML visualization tools for high-level designs, as well as Jira for project management and Confluence for documentation, is necessary.
Responsibilities
As a Lead Security Solution Architect, your primary responsibilities will include producing, managing, and updating end-to-end solution designs in alignment with reference architecture and business requirements. You will articulate and publish key design decision records and options, ensuring that all solutions adhere to a logical and transparent decision-making process.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the approval of any design deviations resulting in technical debt, in addition to recording and mitigating any technical risks or issues arising from solution design. Your role will involve translating requirements into architecture, ensuring the technology and services meet customer needs and expected business outcomes. Furthermore, you will need to ensure the efficiency, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of solution designs throughout the project lifecycle, while maintaining a clear understanding of business motivations and technical security. Promoting strong documentation practices and presenting at technical design authorities for feedback and approval will also be a key part of your role.
Description
This role is based in Sheffield, with three days in the office being mandatory. The initial contract is set to end on 30th November, with a renewal expected at the end of the month. The rate for this position is £567 per day.
