Requirements
Must:
We seek a Lead Automation Test Engineer with at least 5 years of solid experience in automation tooling and framework creation, particularly with Java and SQL. You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels. A strong background in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and documentation based on requirements and specifications is essential. Experience in writing automated test scripts using JavaScript and familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and RestAssured is required. Additionally, you will need experience in defining performance test strategies, delivering results within Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and Jenkins pipeline management for automating tests.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, developing, executing, maintaining, and improving Automated Test Frameworks and Test Scripts for both Web and Database applications. You will accurately report and track testing-related defects, attend triage meetings, and verify bug fixes. As a team player, youll collaborate with both manual and automated testing teams, review test cases for coverage, and liaise with business areas concerning SIT/OAT/UAT scenarios. You will also be expected to analyze documents for testability, learn new technologies as needed, and identify and deploy automation solutions based on project demands.
Description
Your experience in Identity and Access Management, especially with technologies like SailPoint IdentityIQ and related protocols, will be advantageous. We value candidates who have worked with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and those familiar with testing methodologies like SaaS Testing and DevOps practices. You should be adept in using tools like JIRA, Xephyr, QMetry, Test Rail, Jenkins, Postman, and Insomnia. Leadership skills are critical, as you will need to mentor and guide other engineers. This contract position is hybrid, requiring you to be onsite in Sheffield for three days each week, running until 30/11/2026, with a competitive rate.
