Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience as a 3rd line infrastructure engineer, with strong knowledge of servers and virtualisation
- Broad understanding of networking and IT concepts, with a focus on security principles
- Proficiency with VMware, Windows Server, backup solutions, and documentation tools
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage your own workload
- A first degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Eligibility for SC clearance, with willingness to undergo vetting
Responsibilities
- Providing server and virtualisation support across multiple projects, ensuring seamless and secure data transfer
- Leading small technical projects and supporting larger initiatives by managing a small team
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues within IT infrastructure
- Developing technical documentation, test plans, user guides, and system integration reports
- Mentoring junior colleagues and supporting their development
- Managing tasks independently, with increasing complexity over time
- Supporting the deployment and maintenance of backup solutions such as Veeam
- Ensuring security principles are embedded within all infrastructure activities
Description

This role offers hybrid working arrangements and may require occasional visits to Scotland.
