Requirements
Must:
- Senior leadership experience in technology, platform, or IT operations.
- Proven success in sourcing capabilities from managed service providers and building high-performing teams.
- Strong background in cyber security compliance (Cyber Essentials Plus essential; PCI-DSS highly desirable).
- Experience supporting high-availability B2B2C SaaS environments.
- Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Ability to define team structures and resource needs.
- Strong communication skills and comfort operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Desirable: experience in regulated or payment-processing environments; ITIL, CISSP certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead the reliability, security, and day-to-day performance of our core technology platform, business applications, and internal IT environment.
- Ensure availability, stability, monitoring, incident response, and best-practice maintenance across our SaaS platform and business applications.
- Own PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR, vulnerability management, security controls, and governance for AI tool adoption.
- Define the operating model and build an internal operations team while reducing reliance on managed service providers.
- Oversee IT services for approximately 400 users, including Microsoft 365, device management, onboarding/offboarding, identity and access, and policy compliance.
- Provide operational reporting to the CTO, maintain documentation and runbooks, apply ITSM principles, and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary contact for technology operations, ensuring clear communication with senior leadership and business teams.

We are looking for a Head of Technology Operations who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our technology operations. This role provides significant autonomy and is integral as we transition key capabilities in-house. Our team values collaboration and innovation, and we strive to create a high-performing operations function dedicated to delivering secure, stable, and scalable services across the business. We encourage a hybrid work model, with 2 days in the office per week.
