Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on experience with FPGA development in VHDL
- Previous work on safety-critical or high-reliability systems
- DO-254 experience - ideally delivering DAL B or C designs
- Familiarity with verification methodologies and simulation tools (e.g. ModelSim, Vivado, etc.)
- Able to work autonomously in a multi-disciplinary team
Responsibilities
- Full lifecycle FPGA development using VHDL - from architecture and coding through to simulation and testbench creation
- Work to stringent quality and traceability standards, including DO-254 compliance
- Close collaboration with hardware, software, and systems engineers to integrate FPGA designs into wider platforms
- Documentation and technical reporting to meet project milestones and certification needs
Description
We are a specialist engineering organization dedicated to delivering advanced safety-critical systems across regulated industries. Our team is currently seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer for a contract role (outside IR35) that offers an opportunity to work on a key phase of a high-reliability hardware program. We promote a hybrid working model, allowing for 2 days per week onsite, and provide a collaborative environment to apply your FPGA expertise on precision, integrity, and certification-ready designs.
