Must:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Field Engineer. You should possess a full UK driving licence, as site travel is essential. You must be capable of obtaining Government and/or Police Security Clearance. A CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience is preferred. Additionally, we expect you to be self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and have strong interpersonal and communication capabilities. Experience in technical documentation and mentoring is a plus. You should also be comfortable working at height and performing manual handling tasks.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain IT hardware, including PCs, laptops, printers (local and network), and peripherals. You'll support basic server, AV, telephony, and network-related tasks as required and resolve operating system and application incidents according to customer and manufacturer procedures. You will execute IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) projects to customer specifications while maintaining clear communication with Call Administration, Service Delivery Managers, and customer sites. Efficiently managing part movements (RMA generation and returns) is also part of your duties. You are expected to meet or exceed defined KPIs and SLA targets while ensuring compliance with site-specific Fire, Security, and Health & Safety regulations. Additionally, you will accurately log all incidents and resolutions using appropriate ITSM tools. Participation in a 24/7 on-call rota and mentoring junior engineers will also be required, along with maintaining company assets and ensuring technical documentation is current.
