Requirements
Must:
- Ability to listen, communicate and learn from others experiences
- A strong blend of infrastructure engineering skills and a developer-centric mindset
- Ability to interface with senior stakeholders for tool and environment procurement
- Strong background in development is essential
- Experience managing teams and leading programmes of work is highly beneficial
- Experience working within an Agile environment delivering software solutions
- Experience and working knowledge of HIC/IKP, Hybrid Integration Platform, Software Defined Compute, Storage, and Networks
- Understanding of public cloud offerings with experience in building applications on it
- Experience providing enterprise strength solutions for globally dispersed infrastructure
- Working knowledge of multiple middleware disciplines (Web Servers, Application Servers, Messaging)
- Experience coordinating a globally dispersed team across cultures
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment
- Strong people leadership, articulation, strategic planning, execution, networking, and influencing skills
Responsibilities
- Work with key platform stakeholders to review existing HIP platforms for customer journey improvements
- Assess and compare external platforms for possible enhancements to HIP
- Work closely with lead developers to understand their needs and identify areas for improvement
- Facilitate two-way communication between platform creators and consumers
- Create and maintain tools, platforms, and processes for easier software building and deployment
- Implement automation and manage infrastructure as code
- Build CI/CD pipelines and provide self-service infrastructure
- Maintain strong collaboration between federated domains and business lines
- Provide technical guidance and support for customers, driving deployment consistency
- Build a developer-centric culture within HIP
Description
We are seeking a HIP Developer Experience Lead for our Internal Cloud in Sheffield, where youll work three days per week onsite. Our Internal Cloud, including the Internal Kubernetes Platform (IKP) and Kafka, supports a wide array of technology services for our growing customer base.
