Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline design and automation using tools like Jenkins, Tekton, or GitLab CI.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes deployment workflows.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Groovy).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and image registries.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of security best practices for DevOps and container environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications on OpenShift.
- Integrate pipelines with source control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab) and build tools.
- Implement container image build, scanning, and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth delivery processes.
- Optimize pipeline performance and reliability through automation and monitoring.
- Manage pipeline configurations and troubleshoot build/deployment issues.
- Ensure compliance with the banks security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on DevOps best practices and emerging technologies.
Description
We are a dynamic organization located in Sheffield, offering a hybrid work environment with three days a week onsite. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, automating, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines within our OpenShift platform. This contract position runs until December 31, 2026, and offers a competitive rate of up to £495.88 per day (Umbrella inside IR35).
