Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in SQL and database management
- Experience with analytical tools (Python, R, SAS)
- Expertise in Excel and visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Strong mathematical skills for data analysis and interpretation
- Ability to articulate complex data insights to stakeholders through reports and presentations
- A degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or economics
- Organised and able to work to deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to work as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Provide support to all activities related to digital transformation
- Support the Business Change Manager to run an effective operating rhythm with reports and dashboard preparation
- Support initiatives to automate and digitize processes, identify opportunities for simplification and optimization, and track business data sources
- Track and administer digital transformation projects and improvement activities across the campus
- Manage digital reporting tools and dashboards, and support the implementation of digital tools
- Research and define the potential future data analytics strategy for Engineering Operations
- Engage cross-functionally to facilitate process reviews/improvements and build relationships across the organisation
- Gather data from primary and secondary sources and ensure accuracy and consistency through data cleaning
- Develop visualizations, dashboards, and reports to make data insights accessible to non-technical audiences
- Partner with departments to understand needs and provide evidence-based insights to support decisions
Description
We are seeking a Data Analyst for a 12-month contract located in Cheltenham. This position is ideal for individuals with 2-3 years of experience following their university degree in a relevant field. We offer a competitive pay rate of £20 - £30 per hour through PAYE, working 37 hours per week. Our team is dedicated to digital transformation and data-driven decision-making, and we value collaboration across departments to improve processes and strategies.
