Requirements
Must:
- Active NPPV3/SC Clearance
- Azure Cloud Expertise
- Strong command of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Experience with Azure API Management for exposing backend services to mobile apps
- Familiarity with Azure Functions, Event Grid, Service Bus, and other integration services
- Understanding of Azure networking: VNets, private endpoints, Application Gateway, WAF, load balancers
- Knowledge of Azure Identity (Azure AD, Managed Identities, OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker)
- Ability to design and operate production-grade AKS clusters
- Experience with Helm, Kustomize, or other deployment templating tools
- Understanding of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or Azure-native Open Service Mesh)
- Observability stack experience: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor

Responsibilities
- Integrate a mobile application with a Kubernetes-based backend
- Bridge mobile app needs with cloud-native infrastructure in a secure, scalable way
- Design and operate production-grade AKS clusters
- Manage Azure API Management to effectively expose backend services to mobile applications
- Utilize various Azure integration services including Functions, Event Grid, and Service Bus
- Implement Azure networking solutions to ensure security and efficiency
- Work with identity management using Azure Active Directory and OAuth2
- Employ containerization tools like Docker for deployment
- Utilize templating tools for streamlined deployments
- Monitor applications using the observability stack
Description
We are seeking an Azure Platform Engineer for a remote role with a contract duration of 6 months. This position offers a competitive rate of £680 per day inside IR35. We value a blend of cloud architecture expertise, DevOps maturity, and application integration awareness.
