Requirements
Must:

- You must have an Active DV Clearance.
- Strong experience with enterprise storage platforms, particularly NetApp, along with a solid understanding of storage protocols, clustering, HA, SOFS, DFS, and related storage services.
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2003 to 2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, and secure delegation structures.
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, PKI, firewall controls, and SMTP proxy services.
- Experience with VMware, vCenter, ESXi, vMotion, Hyper-V, and virtualized infrastructures that interact with storage systems.
- Exposure to Citrix, App-V, cloud-based services, PowerShell, MBAM, BitLocker, and VPN technologies.
- Desirable knowledge of cloud platforms, automation tooling, container technologies, and monitoring systems.
- Broader awareness of technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Kubernetes, Docker, Elasticsearch, Linux, IaaS, and PaaS services.

Responsibilities
As a 3rd Line Storage Engineer, I will support users and engineering teams through incident management tools while maintaining critical storage platforms and the associated infrastructure. I will work with technologies, including NetApp and other enterprise storage systems, ensuring configuration, performance, resilience, and integration across the complex environment. This role includes supporting Microsoft and virtualization platforms interfacing with storage services to ensure stable and secure operations across multi-site domains. I will also receive training on legacy components and contribute to upgrades, migrations, and optimization activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a 3rd Line Storage Engineer to support a secure, high-profile government environment. I will work with a specialist 3rd line team and engineering functions to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance storage and infrastructure services across a complex estate. The role is based in London and provides exposure to both legacy and modern technologies. Delivering secure and resilient storage services within this highly sensitive environment will be a key focus of my role.
