Requirements
Must:
- Experience in an IT support role or strong technical background
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
- Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, DHCP)
- A proactive, hands-on approach
- Someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around documentation
- Desirable: ERP system experience
- Desirable: Power BI or Power Automate exposure
- Desirable: SQL knowledge
- Desirable: VMware or server exposure
- Desirable: Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Responsibilities
- Providing 1st and 2nd line support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices
- Supporting Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Managing users and access within Active Directory
- Troubleshooting IT issues across office and production environments
- Supporting Windows servers and virtual environments (VMware exposure)
- Assisting with ERP and operational business systems
- Supporting reporting tools and data queries (SQL / Power BI exposure)
- Getting involved in automation and process improvements
- Setting up hardware, new starters, and internal moves
- Maintaining and improving documentation and IT processes
- Monitoring patching (Automox), antivirus (Check Point Harmony), and backups (Druva)
- Investigating issues and ensuring systems remain secure and up to date
- Supporting networking, scanners, and printers within a manufacturing environment
Description
We are a growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Weston-super-Mare, having recently invested heavily in our facilities, systems, and infrastructure. We are entering a new phase of growth following the award of major new work. We offer a broad, hands-on role with exposure across multiple areas of IT, a mix of support and project work, ongoing training and development opportunities, a 9-day fortnight (every other Friday off), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a company pension and life assurance.
