Must:
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer who possesses the following essential skills: - Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET Core framework - Extensive experience with SQL Server and relational database design - Proficient in Entity Framework Core - Proven track record of designing and implementing RESTful APIs - Strong understanding of software design patterns and SOLID principles Additionally, desirable skills that would be advantageous include: - Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration - Experience with Docker for containerization - Familiarity with CosmosDb, Redis caching, Elasticsearch, and Kafka - Knowledge of microservices and micro-frontend architecture - Competence in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS - Experience with Azure cloud services and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Educational qualifications required: - Essential: GCSE English and Maths (C or above) - Desirable: A good standard of education, ideally a 2:2 degree or higher

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Developer, your key duties will include: - Architecting, building, and maintaining robust applications using C# and .NET Core within a microservices architecture - Providing mentorship and guidance to junior developers through code reviews and the promotion of a culture of excellence - Contributing to architectural decisions and the overall software strategy, emphasizing security, scalability, and performance - Actively participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes - Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and fellow developers - Leading technical planning sessions and contributing to product roadmaps - Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and complex technical issues across the full stack - Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid position based in our Peterborough office, allowing for a flexible work schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home.
