Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrable experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
- People management experience to help develop Analysts and lead their careers.
- Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk.
- Knowledge and experience with the Mitre ATT&CK Framework.
- Solid understanding of client-server applications, multi-tier web applications, relational databases, firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise AntiVirus products.
- Good understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, WANs, LANs, and commonly used Internet protocols such as SMTP, HTTP, FTP, POP, and LDAP.
- Eligibility for DV Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monitoring, triage, and investigation of security incidents on critical client infrastructure.
- Perform in-depth analysis of network traffic, logs, and system events to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide line management, maintaining, improving, and developing team knowledge of SOC tools, security operations, and triage.
- Analyze and improve detection rules and use cases in line with Mitre ATT&CK and threat-informed defense.
- Maintain and update security incident documentation, including incident reports, analysis findings, and recommended mitigation strategies.
- Represent the SOC in partner meetings.
- Work shifts from our office in Hemel Hempstead.
Description
The position of SOC Shift Lead is a permanent role based in Hemel Hempstead. The work schedule is shift work, consisting of 2 days from 6 AM to 6 PM, 2 nights from 6 PM to 6 AM, followed by 4 days off. We are seeking candidates who currently hold or are eligible for specific Government Security Clearance and can meet nationality rules, as the vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. The salary ranges from £58K to £65K, depending on experience. We appreciate your interest in this opportunity.
