Requirements
Must:
- Significant demonstrable experience of upgrading enterprise-scale macOS or other operating systems.
- Detailed working knowledge and understanding of complex and diverse customer needs, taking accountability for delivering a quality service that adheres to legal, regulatory, and security standards.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement in processes and standards across teams and the wider DWP engineering community.
- Influential with the ability to challenge suppliers and peers on technology choices and/or design patterns, offering alternative views and recommendations.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will collaborate closely with Architecture and Engineering teams to ensure operational stability and innovation across a range of critical services, including:
- Engineering Platforms supporting approximately 3,000 developers and testers across DWP.
- Creative Devices empowering media and video professionals to deliver impactful campaigns.
- Data Insight Tools enhancing the Department's digital experience.
- Citizen-Facing Devices in Jobcentres nationwide, including a major refresh of approximately 8,500 devices across 800 sites.
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, I will also provide technical leadership in the specialist area of macOS and Jamf while contributing to continuous improvement and exploring emerging technologies.
Description
