Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following must-have skillsets:
- Java 17, 21
- Junit 5, Cucumber
- Spring Boot 3, 4
- Tooling (Gradle, GitHub, Nexus, Artifactory, Sonar, Jacoco)
- Kafka
- Kubernetes, Helm
- Databases (preferably HBase, PostgreSQL)
- Jenkins and CICD
Nice-to-have skills include:
- Kafka Streams, Data sinks
- OCP
- RabbitMQ
- Observability (Datadog, Grafana, Logging concepts and traces, Logback)
- AWS
- NoSQL datastores (Mongo, DynamoDB)
- Security (Kerberos, JWT, Hashi Corp Vault, CVEs)
- Design principles (Event Driven, testing, migrations, SOA, microservices, APIs)
We also value soft skills such as self-sufficiency, effective communication, the ability to challenge solutions, and an understanding of Solid & Design principles.
Responsibilities
In the first six months, you will be responsible for:
- Migrating on-premise services to OCP in AWS
- Updating pipelines to utilize our in-house Trident solution
- Upgrading all components from Spring Boot 3.5 to 4
- Creating new services or data sinks that adhere to the single responsibility principle and publish/consume from Kafka
- Decommissioning services
- Performing business-as-usual (BAU) work
