Requirements
Must:
- Strong general knowledge across a wide range of technologies, including server, storage, application, and network technologies.
- Experience transitioning from legacy platforms such as Server 2003/2008/2012 to later versions.
- Strong understanding of both physical and virtual environments.
- Experience working with third-party vendors to update applications.
- Familiarity with following a change management process.
- Experience with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
- Must be based within a commutable distance of Kettering.
- Notice period of no more than one week.
Responsibilities
As an Infrastructure Build Engineer, you will be part of a team with clearly defined responsibilities for building new systems and services. This includes developing new platforms and migrating legacy systems to new, stable, and supported platforms as part of a business-critical project. You will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition from older technology, such as Server 2003 and 2008, as well as outdated versions of SharePoint and SQL.
Description
This contract position is home-based with one day a week in Kettering, Northamptonshire. The day rate ranges from £300 to £350, and the duration of the contract is 6 months. We are looking forward to bringing someone onboard who can effectively contribute to our team's goals.
