Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for candidates with extensive experience in engineering leadership roles, including people management, Agile planning, and delivery.
- A strong background in Data Engineering with a technical understanding of modern data platforms using Python, AWS, and Snowflake is essential.
- Advanced analytical skills focused on delivery, value, outcomes, and metrics are required.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate collaborative and pragmatic approaches with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in start-ups or high-growth environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, creation, and delivery of the Data Platform Delivery Roadmap.
- I expect you to define engineering metrics and outcomes, collaborating closely with the Principal Data Engineer to ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant.
- You will communicate architectural requirements effectively for teams to progress within an Agile framework.
- Taking ownership of the data platform, you will build and maintain a strong operating model for day-to-day management and production support.
- You will provide line management to Squad Leads and be involved in recruiting and coaching data engineers to grow the team.
