Requirements
Must:
- Strong PHP development experience (Symfony, Laravel)
- Proficiency in SQL Server (T-SQL) and SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Navision)
- Knowledge of server environments (Linux & Windows)
- Understanding of SSL, web security, and Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with Git version control
- WordPress development experience
- Front-end experience with Bootstrap, Angular, or Node.js
- Exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, Node.js)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PHP applications using Symfony/Laravel frameworks
- Build and support API integrations with ERP and third-party systems
- Assist in modernizing a legacy ERP platform (Navision)
- Contribute to WordPress development and front-end enhancements
- Write and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
- Manage SQL Server performance, backups, and reporting (SSRS)
- Ensure database integrity and security using SSMS
- Handle SSL certificate management and implement web security best practices
- Deploy and maintain applications on Linux (Ubuntu, Apache, Nginx) and Windows (IIS) servers
- Provide occasional IT support alongside the wider team
Description
We are offering a full-time permanent position with a salary of circa £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role is primarily remote, with the expectation of being on-site in Lincoln 1-2 days per month. We are a growing organization in the education services sector, seeking a talented Web Developer to join our IT team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining internal and customer-facing applications, supporting ERP integrations, and ensuring database performance.
