Requirements
Must:
- Experience in a similar senior IT role, such as Head of IT, Head of IT Operations, IT Operations Manager, or Senior IT Infrastructure Manager.
- Must have worked in an AWS cloud environment.
- Experience in IT transformation and shared services, including modernization and centralized IT functions.
- Hands-on operational senior IT experience in AWS, IT infrastructure, and IT security.
- Ability to manage and develop cross-functional IT teams.
- Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure and IT operations management.
- Experience managing global teams is a bonus.
- Ability to implement and lead large-scale IT transformation projects.
Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee IT Operations in alignment with company goals, ensuring effective and timely delivery of IT projects in an AWS cloud environment.
- Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals focused on IT infrastructure, networking, IT security, and applications, supporting the overall defined IT strategy.
- Oversee the efficient operation of IT, providing outstanding support to all staff members across multiple global offices.
- Ensure IT services within AWS, Microsoft, and Cisco environments meet business needs and comply with established SLAs.
- Lead IT infrastructure initiatives, including IT security, to ensure robust and reliable systems across the business.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders, including those at the Director level, to understand and address urgent IT needs and develop a robust IT strategy moving forward.
Description
We are excited to offer the role of Head of IT in our brand-new Manchester office, which serves as our UK headquarters. We are looking for someone who will lead the transformation of our global IT landscape, including AWS infrastructure, while implementing a centralized and efficient model for delivering IT services across the business. You will drive innovation in a cloud-based infrastructure, modernizing IT and introducing new technologies to improve our overall IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be hands-on, not afraid to get involved in projects when necessary, and will help build a team of 5 IT professionals in the UK and abroad in the future. We expect the individual in this role to effectively deliver and manage the day-to-day IT operations, maintaining and improving high standards of IT service delivery, while safeguarding our IT infrastructure.
