We are looking for candidates who possess extensive experience as an individual contributor in the design, build, and operation of network products across all 7 layers of the OSI stack, from physical through to virtual. You should have a solid understanding of Layer 1 - 4 Protocols such as G.9802.1/WDM, Ethernet, VXLAN, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, Access Transport (like PON, xDSL, DOCSIS, FWA), and Wireless Standards (including Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G). Familiarity with MEF Standards such as CE.3.0, LSO, and Overlay IP/VPN technologies (like RFC2547bis, RFC7432, RFC8365/RFC9746), as well as Software Defined Networking and Network Instrumentation technologies (like gNMI/gRPC, Y.1731, Y.1564, TWAMP) is also required. Candidates should have experience with virtual infrastructure ecosystems, such as OpenStack, Kubernetes, QEMU, KVM, and HCI across Cloud Platforms (Public/Private/Hybrid) and uCPE Platforms (x86, ARM). A strong grasp of open networking technologies will be highly valued, including knowledge of routing daemons (FRR, Bird, GoBGP), ONF stack, LINUX Networking (eBPF, VPP, AF_XDP), DENT, SONiC or Cumulus. It is essential to have good experience in network programming and automation, including IaC, configuration management tools, and data modeling (such as RESTCONF, NETCONF/YANG, Python, Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM), along with a demonstrable understanding of DevOps, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines. Additional valued skills include experience in Network and infrastructure operational product engineering, knowledge of network management planes, and a grasp of Application Layer Network Protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, DNS, DHCP). CCIE or an equivalent certification is considered an advantage. Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) and RADIUS-based AAA for secure and automated access supporting corporate and guest users is crucial, alongside familiarity with zero trust networking concepts. Lastly, proficiency in lifecycle management of network products, service design, and Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will oversee building and maintaining infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems. My focus will be on ensuring our infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure, utilizing best practices in software engineering techniques and automation. I will be responsible for the development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure solutions that fulfill business requirements, ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. Part of my role involves monitoring IT infrastructure to identify and resolve potential issues, thereby driving down the mean time to resolution. I will also lead the development and implementation of automated tasks and processes to enhance efficiency and minimize manual intervention. Additionally, I will implement secure configurations and measures to protect our infrastructure against cyber-attacks and other security threats. As part of a collaborative approach, I will work closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT Infrastructure requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives. I will stay up to date with industry technology trends, actively contributing to our technical communities to foster a culture of innovation and growth.
