Requirements
Must:
As a Network Operations Engineer, I expect you to have:
- Experience in Network Operational Support within a large institution or bank.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network-related issues.
- A solid understanding and experience with LAN and WAN technologies/protocols, as well as security-related technologies including Fortigate FW & IDS, Fortigate FMG/FAZ, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Tetration.
- Additional skills such as CCNP certification (or equivalent qualification/experience) are preferred.
- Experience working within a large multi-site, multi-protocol LAN & WAN.
- Hands-on experience with MPLS, Multicast, QoS, and Wireless.
- Key critical skills relevant to the role, including risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology expertise.
Responsibilities
In your role, you will be expected to:
- Build Engineering: Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. This includes identifying appropriate technologies and solutions to meet business needs.
- Incident Management: Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance, addressing potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages, and utilizing data to drive down mean time to resolution.
- Automation: Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention through software scripting/coding disciplines.
- Security: Implement secure configurations and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and other security threats.
- Teamwork: Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT infrastructure requirements and devise solutions that align with business objectives using a data-driven approach.
- Learning: Stay informed about industry technology trends and innovations, contributing to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
Description
As part of your position, you will take on responsibilities typical for an Assistant Vice President, such as consulting on complex issues, advising People Leaders for the resolution of escalated matters, and identifying risk mitigation strategies while developing new policies and procedures in alignment with control and governance agendas. You will manage risks and enhance controls related to your work, collaborate with various areas for business-aligned support, and engage in complex data analysis from internal and external sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Excellent communication skills are crucial, particularly when conveying complex information, including sensitive topics. You will need to influence or convince stakeholders to reach desired outcomes.
