Requirements
Must:
- Some experience in electronic and electro/mechanical repairs.
- Good working knowledge of network infrastructures and wireless communications.
- Ability to organize work priorities.
- Ability to escalate unresolved issues.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Full valid driving license; own means of transport due to office location.
- Preferred: Certificate of Higher Education.
Responsibilities
- Identify and rectify faults on devices with minimal supervision after training, both in-house and onsite, or via telephone or remote systems support.
- Deliver and install printers at customer sites, adhering to timescales.
- Support the sales team with pre- and post-sales activities.
- Perform pre-sales testing/trials.
- Ensure Health & Safety regulations are complied with at all times, along with company working practices.
- Print labels as required and familiarize with market-leading label design and printing software.
- Complete training modules when required and provide application support (after training) when needed.
Description
At AiR, we are a Value Added Reseller (VAR) of Auto ID products and services across various market sectors including food production, automotive, clothing, and logistics. Due to our continued expansion, we are looking to hire a Technical Support Technician to provide in-house and on-site support to our customers related to our label printing systems. While experience in repairing thermal label printers is preferable, it is not essential as we provide full training. What is most important is your desire to find solutions and solve customer technical issues, complemented by your tenacity to get the job done. We offer a competitive salary based on experience, along with benefits such as a company pension and on-site parking. The job is full-time and requires reliable commuting or a plan to relocate to Leicester before starting work.
