Must:
We require successful candidates to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. You should have experience in planning and structuring an IT service desk function, as well as managing an IT support team, including an external service desk. ITIL qualification is essential. A background in IT services and operations is necessary, along with expert analytical and process skills, strong technical problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer interaction, attention to detail, organisational and prioritisation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders are a must. Additionally, you should be proficient in creating high-quality documentation and possess technical skills in areas such as office applications, remote deployment, MFA, MDM, Azure AD, networks, and telephony.
Responsibilities
As part of the IT Leadership team, I will drive a culture of excellence across all IT functions and cultivate relationships that support effective collaboration within the IT team and the broader business. I will work to achieve World Class Service by coaching the Service Desk in attaining high first call fix resolution and call answering targets, while also enhancing technical understanding through knowledge-building initiatives within the front-line services team. I will oversee ongoing measurement and improvement planning for Service Level Management, managing suppliers, engineers, and service providers to deliver agreed SLAs. Additionally, I will build and strengthen IT equipment vendor relationships for procurement purposes, act as the lead interface to ensure seamless transitions of IT projects into the live environment, and be accountable for the development and promotion of IT Service Knowledge Management to enhance self-fix capabilities. Lastly, I will ensure effective reporting for Service Operations, making data-driven recommendations for IT Leadership, Service Delivery, and business reports, and develop a service improvement plan that aligns with a set framework.
