Requirements
Must:
- I require a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- I prefer candidates with 5+ years of professional experience in software development, focusing on C++ and/or Rust.
- A strong understanding of FPGA architectures, toolchains (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus), and hardware description languages (VHDL/Verilog) is essential.
- Experience with high-speed data center and GPU interfaces (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, Infiniband) is also necessary.
Responsibilities
- I expect you to design, develop, and optimize software in C++ and/or Rust for control and orchestration systems.
- You will build low-latency interfaces between hardware and classical compute systems.
- Collaboration with hardware teams to integrate software with FPGAs and high-speed digital electronics will be crucial.
- You will develop and maintain firmware and drivers for custom hardware platforms.
- Analyzing and optimizing system performance, including latency, throughput, and resource utilization, will be part of your role.
- I want you to participate in system architecture design and technical decision-making.
- Conducting code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and promoting software best practices are important aspects of this position.
- Working with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components for robust, production-ready systems is expected.
- Lastly, you will ensure system reliability, fault tolerance, and performance in data center environments.
Description
The salary for this position ranges from £75,000 to £135,000.
