Requirements
Must:
- I am seeking a software engineer or electronics engineer with transferable skills into software development for test solutions.
- I need you to have a strong ability to write software in one of the following languages: C, C++, or ADA, and to be motivated to develop reliable, high-performance, standardized, and documented software.
- Excellent analytical and design skills, including review and critical analysis, are essential.
- You should have a 'can do' attitude and a flexible approach, enjoying the challenge of solving technical problems that may extend beyond the realm of software.
- I expect you to be eager to work on novel products where the software you produce is time and mission critical.
- Effective communication is key; you will need to interact with multiple stakeholders, including Systems Engineering, Electronics, and Test and Validation teams.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join our Test Software UK team, collaborating with Electronic Engineering, our Test Centre of Excellence, and Software Engineering to deliver the MBDA UK test capability.
- Our mission is to facilitate robust and timely testing of missile systems, ensuring that MBDA continues to provide decisive military capability to our home nations and their allies.
- You will directly influence our product certification, manufacturing output, and support activities by developing and supporting software packages that utilize Test Equipment hardware to configure, verify, and validate the quality and conformance of our MBDA UK product range, from development through production to field testing scenarios.
- You’ll be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplined team specializing in all aspects of test solution design, including software, hardware, simulation, and real-time systems.
