Requirements
Must:
- Passion for IT, technology, web, and eCommerce development.
- Confidence in working at the command line in a Linux environment with open-source technologies.
- Solid educational and hands-on practical experience in Object-Oriented Programming.
- Highly proficient in an OO programming language (PHP, Java, C# or similar).
- Relevant degree in an IT-related subject (Computer Science, Software Development, etc).
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Active experience using AI coding agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc).
- Ability to demonstrate thoughtful use of AI tools versus traditional coding approaches.
- Understanding of effective prompt writing for code generation and evaluation of AI-generated solutions.
- Established experience integrating AI tools into development workflows.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and eCommerce platforms.
- Positive attitude and motivation to grow skillset.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
- Organizational skills for remote work settings.
Responsibilities
- Work as an integral part of our development team to design robust and efficient eCommerce applications.
- Be involved in the full cycle of planning, developing, and testing web applications using both traditional coding and AI-assisted approaches.
- Fix software bugs and develop new features using modern AI development tools.
- Learn to effectively use AI coding assistants to accelerate development.
- Experiment with new AI tools and share findings with the team during hackathons and learning sessions.
- Be mentored by experienced developers to strengthen coding fundamentals and AI integration.
- Participate in dedicated learning sessions every week to enhance skills in coding and AI fluency.
- Undertake learning through SMART plans, technical induction, and other training sessions.
