Requirements
Must:
- 3-4 years of experience in user research roles, either at an agency or client-side
- Experience working alongside Gov.uk
- Strong background in quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Proficiency in various UX research techniques, including lab testing, diary studies, in-depth interviews, and remote evaluations
- Ability to create and lead UX research processes and strategy in an agile environment
- Experience working collaboratively with design and development teams
- Passion for user-centered design and building great products
- Strong organizational skills and ability to lead research planning efforts
Responsibilities
- Conduct and lead various UX research activities to gather user insights
- Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure effective translation of UX specifications into visual design and code
- Advocate for rapid iterative testing and upfront product discovery research
- Analyze and interpret research findings to inform design decisions
- Work closely with a UX team, including designers and developers, to enhance user experience across multiple platforms
- Ensure the continuous improvement of the UX research strategy
Description
We are a government-funded organization operating in the public sector, seeking a passionate User Experience Research Consultant for an initial 12-week remote engagement. Our team consists of a UX team of 2 designers, a junior researcher, and two Front End developers within a mature delivery environment. We focus on user-centered design and are dedicated to creating impactful products that meet user needs. Due to the nature of our work, no work permits will be considered for this role.
