Requirements
Must:
- Advanced skills in Python for ETL pipeline development.
- Strong experience with Databricks and related tools.
- Proven ability to design and optimize ETL pipelines.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Analyze and document existing data pipelines, including diagrams and data-flow mapping.
- Develop and automate ETL pipelines using Python.
- Work with Databricks notebooks, Delta Lake, and Databricks Genie bots.
- Design, optimize, and debug ETL pipelines.
- Use SQL for querying, validation, and optimization in the Lakehouse environment.
Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team for a contract position based in the vibrant area of Bristol. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment while focusing on innovative data solutions. The position is available for a duration of 3+ months, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00. The pay rate is £200.00 per day.
