Requirements
Must:
- Strong Java coding skills at a senior level (Java 8+, with experience or a strong desire to work with Java 21).
- Proven experience in designing and building scalable, maintainable applications using Spring Boot.
- Understanding and hands-on experience with a range of core AWS services.
- Commitment to software development best practices, including writing clean, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Willingness to mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small development team, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Drive new feature development that influences thousands of users across our platform.
- Make and influence architectural decisions within the team.
- Collaborate in building web applications using React and/or JavaScript, if applicable.
- Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and IaC tools like AWS CloudFormation.
Description
We are a UK SaaS technology company experiencing rapid growth, and we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our small, yet experienced team. While our headquarters is in Oxfordshire, this role can be performed remotely, with occasional office visits in the Oxford area. We offer a salary of £60K plus a benefits package.
