We seek candidates who have proven experience as a Service Designer or in a similar role within digital transformation, consultancy, or user-centered design environments. You should possess a strong portfolio that showcases various service design projects, demonstrating your ability from research through to implementation. Proficiency in creating service blueprints, journey maps, process flows, and experience prototypes is essential, as is comfort using tools such as Miro, Figma, Sketch, and other service design platforms. Additionally, we look for experience working in Agile or multidisciplinary teams, as well as strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. An understanding of business strategy, digital technology, and user-centered design principles will be beneficial.
Responsibilities
As a Service Designer, you will lead the design of end-to-end services, ensuring that user needs are met across all touchpoints and channels. You will conduct user research and translate insights into actionable service design artifacts, such as personas, journey maps, and blueprints. Facilitating co-creation and design workshops with stakeholders and cross-functional teams will be a key part of your role. Collaboration with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Developers, and Researchers is vital to ensure consistency and alignment across projects. You will identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation within existing customer experiences and define service design principles, frameworks, and standards to guide ongoing development. Additionally, communicating design decisions clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences is essential, as is contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.
Description
We are offering a remote position for a Service Designer located in the UK, with the expectation of traveling to the office once a month, all expenses covered. This is a 6-month ongoing fixed-term contract with a salary of up to £60,000.
