Requirements
Must:
- I have strong C++ development experience on Linux or UNIX, specifically C++14 and above.
- I possess good SQL skills.
- I am a passionate technologist motivated by working on cutting-edge systems and engineering complex solutions.
- I am a positive, proactive team member who excels in collaborative environments.
- I have a strong knowledge of software engineering best practices.
- I am degree educated in a STEM discipline.
- Ideally, I have experience working in a financial services or trading environment, though my technical skills are of far greater importance.
Responsibilities
In my role as a Backend Software Engineer, I will be responsible for designing and building unique technical solutions to meet user requirements while contributing to the evolution of our cutting-edge platform. I will take ownership of strategic enhancements on our core platform and directly work on bespoke client projects. This is an excellent opportunity for me to accelerate my career alongside established business and technology leaders, as well as to gain and deepen my finance experience. I will have the autonomy to influence key technical decisions while working with a highly collaborative, experienced team throughout the full development lifecycle.
Description
I have the chance to work with a global-leading FinTech pioneer specializing in cross-asset securities and derivatives post-trade processing technology. The organization has developed groundbreaking, adaptable software that produces secure and scalable solutions for peak operational efficiency and optimal business performance for our clients. The salary for this position is up to £110k, along with a pension contribution of up to 9%, healthcare benefits, volunteer/charity days, hybrid working options, and opportunities for career development and training. I will work from the London office for three days a week with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days.
