Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices.
- I have in-depth AWS experience across storage, compute, and orchestration services.
- I possess strong Python scripting and coding skills for data wrangling and pipeline development.
- I have strong SQL and NoSQL skills for complex transformations and validation queries.
- I have experience with Docker and CI/CD for deployment.
- I am collaborative with great communication skills.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Engineer, I will take ownership of the data platform, optimizing it for scalability to ensure successful client onboarding. I will use modern tools (such as Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or AWS Step Functions) for ETL design and orchestration. My responsibilities will include working on transformation logic to clean, validate, and enrich data, handling missing values, standardizing formats, and eliminating duplication. I will utilize Redshift for efficient loading strategies and write ETL pipelines that handle large volumes of data efficiently with low latency.

I can progress my career in a senior, hands-on Data Engineer role at a technology start-up that produces a software suite for legal firms, which massively reduces paralegal workloads. There is huge interest in our product and plenty of greenfield development work to engage with. I will be part of a small but growing team based in Central Manchester, working in the office three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home the other two days.
