Requirements
Must:
- I have expertise in C# .Net Core backend software development and experience working on large, scalable systems with complexity.
- I possess a strong knowledge of Azure, SaaS, PaaS, and microservices.
- I have strong technical and team leadership experience.
- I am collaborative and pragmatic but can also push back and influence senior engineers.
- I advocate for creating clean, reusable, and maintainable code and have a good understanding of modern Microsoft software engineering best practices.
- I have a solid knowledge of event-driven architecture.
- I have a thorough understanding of computer science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, and Algorithms.
- I possess a good understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- A degree in a relevant STEM discipline would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
As a Lead Software Developer, I will manage three Agile teams of around ten experienced software engineers, responsible for our flagship SaaS insurance platform that processes 4 billion requests monthly. I will play a key role in architecting, designing, and developing new features and enhancements while ensuring high levels of security, reliability, maintainability, usability, and performance. I will collaborate with the Product Owner and other development teams to contribute to design and technical choices and provide technical guidance to my team in an Agile environment that fosters close collaboration and continual improvement.

I am offering a Lead Software Developer position with a competitive salary of up to £100k plus a bonus of around 30%. The role allows for hybrid working, where I will work from home three days a week and join colleagues in the Reigate office twice a week for team meet-ups and stakeholder meetings.
