Must:
I am looking for someone with over 5 years of experience as a software engineer, with at least 2 years in a leadership position. You should have full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience and a proven track record in leading a software engineering team. A strong technical background in mobile, digital, and cloud platforms is essential. Ideally, you have worked with small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and have a passion for helping a company grow its products and service offerings.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will balance leadership duties with hands-on coding. You will lead the software development team, define and distribute tasks, and maintain technical documentation. Additionally, you will assist with our company’s technical direction and architecture for mobile, cloud, and API platforms. You will be responsible for reviewing code quality and providing final technical sign-off for releasing features and fixes into production. Furthermore, you will translate high-level requirements into technical workstreams, define project plans, and distribute tasks across the team.

You will play a vital role in leading software delivery, quality assurance, cloud architecture, and digital architecture while also future-proofing our software ecosystem. The salary for this position is £90,000 plus benefits, and it is based in Buckinghamshire. Our tech stack includes languages and frameworks such as Typescript, React, React Native, Node.js, PHP, Python, SQL, and Postgres, along with AWS services like ECS, IoT Core, Redshift, Lambda, CodeBuild, CloudWatch, SNS, and Cognito, plus tools like Git, JIRA, Postman, and Confluence.
