Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for candidates who have previously led a software team or have direct reports.
- I require strong software development skills in C++ and QT.
- Experience working in Linux and Windows development environments is essential.
- Familiarity with RF and/or FPGA products/devices is preferred.
- A degree in a relevant field, such as Software Engineering, is necessary.
- Candidates must be eligible for Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- I will rely on you to lead and mentor a team of Software Engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- You will oversee projects throughout the entire software development life cycle, from initial design to final implementation, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
- I expect you to establish and maintain software development procedures that enhance team effectiveness and product quality.
- You will drive innovation by leading the development of new products.
- I need you to manage the software build process, ensuring that systems and applications are properly developed and released.
Description
This position, based in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, offers a salary range of £70,000 to £80,000, depending on experience. As a hands-on Software Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of skilled Software Engineers and ensuring the team's productivity and efficiency. You will lead programming activities and ensure that projects remain on course and that timescales are met. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for driving software projects from conception through to completion.
