IT Support Officer

In this role, you will: - Collaborate with the Senior IT Technician and IT Manager to implement the Trust’s IT strategy and related policies, ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient IT Services to help us achieve our objectives. - Provide end-user support, undertaking complex fault diagnosis and resolution for the full range of IT Systems while managing assigned faults according to Trust policies and procedures. - Maintain the Help Desk Management System, investigating and resolving fault calls using your expertise or liaising with third-party maintainers when necessary. - Keep an accurate inventory of computer hardware and software in the Help Desk Management System, ensuring any changes are duly recorded. - Manage third-party software within the Trust, liaising with these parties to ensure timely delivery of new services and prompt resolution of faults. - Participate in a security rota to change backup tapes in accordance with Trust policies. - Conduct site visits for the repair, maintenance, and assessment of IT requirements for planned or proposed developments. - Assist in the installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of all new and existing hardware and software applications. - Contribute to the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing development of the Trust website and intranet. - Actively participate in team meetings, working with the IT Senior Technician and IT Manager to improve and maintain IT Systems and Services. - Propose and implement changes to IT policies and procedures within your work area to enhance organizational practices. - Monitor and maintain stock control and supplies for the IT Department.
