Must:
We are looking for a Data Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in Azure Cloud and preferably 3-5 years as a data engineer. You should possess strong proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as MS SQL and Snowflake. Experience with ETL/ELT tools, including Azure Data Factory, DBT, and AWS Glue, is essential. A strong proficiency in Power BI and advanced analytics, coupled with proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, and automation, is also required. Any familiarity with DBT, Airbyte, or similar transformation products will be considered a significant advantage. Additionally, you should have experience with data migration and mapping complex relational data between business systems. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into data engineering solutions are necessary, along with excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is also required.
Responsibilities
In this newly created role, you will join our small data team in the property sector and play a vital role in developing and managing data integration projects. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing a modern data warehouse (in Azure or Snowflake) capable of ingesting data from multiple sources while storing and organizing large volumes of data. You will develop and implement an automated, repeatable data migration process suitable for multiple project phases. Additionally, you will actively review data quality assessments, addressing any inconsistencies, and apply cleansing and validation techniques. Building data pipelines to clean, transform, and aggregate data from various sources will also be a key responsibility. Moreover, you will need to stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering.
Description
We offer a salary in the region of £60,000 - £65,000, dependent on experience. Our company provides a vibrant, rewarding, and diverse work environment, and we offer the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week. Candidates must be authorized to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
