Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in a 3rd line or infrastructure engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server & Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Intune.
- Proficiency in VMware virtualisation.
- Understanding of enterprise networking (CCNA-level or equivalent).
- Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) - desirable.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments (Azure) - desirable.
- Knowledge of Citrix technologies (Virtual Apps/Desktop) - desirable.
- Experience with Linux administration - desirable.
- Understanding of telephony systems (e.g. 3CX) - desirable.
- Cisco CCNA certification - desirable.
- VMware Certification - desirable.
- ITIL Foundation certification - desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Collaborative team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proactive approach to learning and improvement.
Responsibilities
- Act as a 3rd line escalation point for complex IT issues.
- Support and maintain core infrastructure (Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Manage and develop Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra), and Intune environments.
- Maintain VMware virtualisation platforms and storage (SAN).
- Support network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi).
- Ensure reliable performance of critical business systems (e.g. SAP and other enterprise platforms).
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring systems.
- Support telephony systems (e.g. 3CX, mobile platforms).
- Contribute to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.
Description
We are seeking a talented and proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team at our Rotherham site. In this hands-on, varied role, you will play a key part in supporting and evolving our core technology platforms. We offer ongoing opportunities for training, development, and certification, along with a competitive benefits package including 28 days annual leave (increasing yearly up to 33 days), a bonus up to 10%, a company pension scheme, life assurance, private health care, and more. Occasional travel to other group sites will be required, and participation in an on-call rota will be expected.
