Must:
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in designing and building large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in SQL and Python, along with a deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and performance optimization. Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services is essential. Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop is a must. Additionally, strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance is required. You should have the ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers, along with excellent problem-solving skills and experience in agile environments. Experience with streaming data (Kafka/Kinesis), Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, NoSQL databases, and metadata management tools is desirable.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data architectures and pipelines. You will define and enforce best practices for data engineering, including coding standards, testing, and documentation. Mentoring and guiding engineers will be a key part of your responsibilities as you foster collaboration and technical excellence. You will translate complex business requirements into reliable, well-structured data solutions and optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Additionally, you will drive the adoption of modern data tools and technologies across the organization, ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance, and troubleshoot complex data issues, delivering long-term solutions. You will also work closely with analytics, product, and engineering teams to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
