Requirements
Must:
- A strong academic background in physics, electronics, or a related field (MSc, PhD, or equivalent).
- Excellent grasp of graduate-level mathematics and signal processing techniques.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling (MATLAB is not used).
- A practical mindset: comfortable running experiments, testing, and hands-on learning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration.
- Prior experience with fibre optics is not required; candidates from wireless, audio, radar, or other signal processing backgrounds are very welcome.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside a small, dynamic team to solve real-world detection and classification challenges in the time and frequency domains.
- Develop signal processing algorithms in Python.
- Run experiments in the lab and translate mathematical insights into tangible product improvements.
- Engage in hands-on development that closely aligns with hardware and deployment realities, providing the opportunity to see research applied directly to operational systems.
