Requirements
Must:
- I have at least 5 years of experience in software or ML engineering, with a strong background in production deployment.
- I possess a solid foundation in Python and am comfortable working with data frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Dask, Polars, or PySpark.
- I have proven experience in setting up ML pipelines and integrating with cloud platforms like AWS or Databricks, as well as applying CI/CD principles.
- I have a solid understanding of time-series forecasting and supervised ML models.
- I am knowledgeable in cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and containerization technologies.
- I have excellent collaboration and communication skills and am confident discussing architecture with data scientists, engineers, and business leaders.
- Experience in energy markets, particularly within UK or European retail, is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
- I will build and maintain ML pipelines and CI/CD processes for the training, validation, and deployment of models.
- I will lead the implementation of forecasting models and supervised learning approaches in scalable cloud environments.
- I will collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate ML capabilities into production systems effectively.
- I will optimize performance using tools such as AWS, Databricks, and containerization frameworks.
- I'm responsible for defining best practices for MLOps, monitoring, and version control.
- I will provide technical guidance and education to teams adopting AI tooling.
Description

In this role, I will take ownership of how machine learning models are built, deployed, and scaled across distributed cloud environments. This position will help the business embed modern AI best practices and robust MLOps pipelines. You will design, implement, and productionize forecasting models and ML-based algorithms that improve decision-making across the energy domain. This includes defining and setting up the end-to-end ML infrastructure, mentoring engineers, and shaping how our organization approaches MLOps and AI enablement.
